If there is one or several teeth that have been removed by extraction, the space on that area will be empty creating a gap between existing teeth. Viewed from one angle, the aesthetics of your teeth to be less than perfect, and from another, the gap will cause the surrounding teeth moved and affect your good bite.

Solution to the above problems is by making artificial teeth or better known as false teeth to fill the gap attached to the surrounding teeth. There are two common type of false teeth; First is a removable type, can be easily put on and off by the patient himself in certain times, during brushing your teeth or sleeping. The second is a fixed type, which does not need to be put on and off again except under special circumstances and must be done by a dentist.

There is a third type of false teeth, but it is discussed on this page
